THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The National Institute of Speech & Hearing (NISH) is conducting a two-month Post-graduate Certificate programme for teachers of students with disabilities like deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) in the higher education sector.
The programme, NISH Innovations Model-Training for the Inclusive Educator (NIM-TIE), will equip the special educator with sufficient knowledge and proficiency to become a sensitive and competent inclusive instructor. Experts will lead the course, which has classroom lectures, teaching sessions, online courses, TED talks, reflective journals and other innovative modules to mould a creative teacher for the students with special needs.
