The two-day Kerala Bala Krishi Sastra Congress came to a close on Wednesday. The central theme of the Bala Krishi Sastra Congress was “Organic Kerala, Healthy Kerala”.

Applauding the participation of students from all across the state, the Kerala Bala Krishi Sastra Congress Chairman Dr C K Peethambaran opined that the projects that the students who competed in three different categories over the past two days of the conclave stood at par with the projects that research students come forward with.
Unnimaya of Koothuparambu HSS, was chosen the Chid Agri-Scientist at the Seventh Kerala Bala Krishi Sastra Congress and was presented with a cash prize of Rs 11,111, trophy and citation by the Minister. The VV Bhaskaran Memorial Ever Rolling Trophy for the Best School in the cultural competitions was won by the Jawahar Public School, Edava, while the Devaki Memorial Ever Rolling Trophy for the second best school was presented to the Holy Angels School, Thiruvananthapuram.
The teachers who trained the student participants were also honoured by the Minister. Organised by the Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA), in association with the Agri Friends, the seventh edition of the Kerala Bala Krishi Sastra Congress had the participation of more than 400 students from across the state. Agri-scientists, agriculture experts, Ministers, political and social personalities were part of the event.
The Seventh Kerala Bala Krishi Sastra Congress made sure that students who participated were not
overburdened by the usual evaluation procedures and opened up the venue for the active participation of children of farmers, and all those who love agriculture. This made the Kerala Bala Krishi S
astra Congress a one of its kind event in India.
