New Delhi: The removal of T P Sen Kumar, former Director General of Police, from his post was in violaton of service rules, the Union Goverment said in an affidavit submitted at the Central Administrative Tribunal CAT).
Sen Kumar had approached CAT, challenging the decision of the LDF government in Kerala to remove him from the DGP post and appoint Loknath Behera.
The Central Government quoted the the Supreme Court guidelines which say that top-rank officers should be allowed to hold a post at least for two years.
