THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
ICA Edu Skills, a leading skilling and training institute since 1999, in association with the Department of Commerce, Rajadhani Business School, organized an exclusive Seminar on the highly relevant issue–“Goods & Service Tax” — on July 7 th at their campus in Thiruvananthapuram.
The program was attended by around 220 participants, including college faculties and students. The objective of the program was to help faculty members and students update themselves with the GST implication 
ICA has taken the initiative of GST awareness in colleges across India. The GST speaker CA M.M Zachariah addressed the participants and provided them an understanding on the GST Law, its needs and benefit in the current taxation system and how it will have an impact on career opportunities. They also gave an extensive knowledge of all the aspects of GST to the participants along with an understanding of the skills required to be effective teachers in sync with the market and industry requirement.
Speaking of the relevance of this seminar, Prabha Baid, Sr Manager, said, “ICA believes in creating and disseminating knowledge and skills in the core and frontier areas through innovative educational and training programs. Our aim is to offer learning solution to individuals, enterprises and institutions across the country. The seminars were required to increase the knowledge base of faculty members, and help with the employability of students, which is an urgent need of the hour”.
