Diwali, the festival of lights is around the corner and Seawoods Grand Central Mall and Max Fashion join hands to light up the lives of the people of Dehrang village. SGC Mall along with Max Fashion spread happiness by gifting new traditional clothes to over 500 inhabitants of this tiny village. This also earmarks the beginning of this year’s ‘Happyness Wali Diwali’ at SGC Mall.
On this occasion, SGC Mall had invited guests from the village and held a small ceremony today in their honor. Nilesh Singh, Centre Head of Seawoods Grand Central Mall and Devesh Kumar ,AVP Operations , Max Fashion handed over the clothes to the guests and exchanged pleasantries. The guests were then also given a tour of the entire mall which is now all decked up depicting traditional mythology with life size Dhanush and Gada. Members from Blessgings NGO, a key partner in the entire activity, also graced the occasion with their presence.
Nilesh Singh, Centre Director of Seawoods Grand Central Mall, said, “This year’s Diwali is very special for everyone at SGC Mall as we are joined by our friends from Dehrang village in our celebrations. We are happy to be a part of their lives and be a reason for their happiness. SGC Mall will continue to work towards spreading cheer not just among its patrons but also amongst those who are less fortunate.”
The tiny village of Dehrang located in Panvel has about 500 inhabitants who are many a time deprived from the basics of life which city dwellers are fortunate to have in abundance. Earlier SGC Mall had donated over thousands of books to the students of this village.
Devesh Kumar ,AVP Operations , Max Fashion said, “Max Fashion believes that it is a festival for everyone. We are happy to join hand with Seawoods Grand Central Mall and adopt a village called ‘Dehrang’ which is 20 Kms aways from Panvel. This is a small initiative from us to spread happiness around 500 people in the village. ”
