Scientific progress and research should be transformed into solutions and utilized to alleviate core problems of the common man, Transport Minister Antony Raju has said during the Engineers’ Day celebration.
The Engineers Day celebration was jointly organised by Metro Mart and Chamber of Commerce, Thiruvananthapuram. The event was presided over by Thiruvananthapuram Chamber of Commerce and Industries President SN Raghuchandran Nair. The prestigious Metro MSME Awards was also inaugurated by Revenue Minister K Rajan at the occasion.
Minister K Rajan said that state government is pursuing a development policy that ensures the protection of small scale industries and also pointed out that innovative technologies will be implemented in the field of housing construction. Padma Vibhushan G Madhavan Nair, Padma Shri Shankar, Canara Bank Circle Head S Prem Kumar, Kerala Travel Mart Managing Director Baby Mathew Somatheeram, KSIDC Managing Director MG Raja Manikyam and Metro Mart Managing Director Siji Nair were present at the function.
