The second edition of Sahapedia-UNESCO Fellowship is now open for scholars who are interested in art and culture research but wish to document their projects in Bengali.
Sahapedia.org, an open online encyclopaedic resource on Indian arts, offers fellowship that supports research in diverse fields of arts, cultures, traditions and heritage of India and is now available for projects in six Indian languages—Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Marathi, Malayalam and Tamil — besides English.

The inaugural fellowship in 2017 yielded scores of rich textual and audio-visual material that Sahapedia has been publishing on its website for public access. In the second edition of the fellowship, Sahapedia has outlined a set of focus areas that will be given preference in the selection process.
The Sahapedia-UNESCO Fellowship for 2018 is being supported by the Ministry of Culture through their scheme Financial Assistance to Cultural Organizations with National Presence scheme. The fellowship includes a grant of Rs 40,000 each. Post-doctoral scholars, doctoral candidates, and post-graduates or those with equivalent experience may apply.
The last date for applications is 30th June, 2018. Selected applicants are expected to begin their projects by August 2018 and complete it in six months.
