The passing out ceremony of the fourth batch students who have undergone the Skill Acquisition for Engineers (SAFE) program jointly conducted by Steel and Industrial Forgings Ltd (SIFL) – a public sector undertaking under Department of Industries, in association with Cochin University of Science and Technology will be held at 3 pm on 22 nd March at Physics auditorium in the Trikkakara campus.
The programme is offered to Mechanical Engineering graduates and Diploma holders. Vice Chancellor Dr.R.Sasidharan, Chief guest will distribute the certificates and Adv.Antony Raju Chairman, SIFL will preside. Chandrabose J, MD, SIFL will deliver the key note address.
Under SAFE programme, a total of 100 engineering students have so far completed training and got placed in the industry. The object of the programme is to provide exposure to engineers in diverse areas of CNC Machine Operation and programming. The training also provides practical experience in forging operations done with help of a wide range of power hammers, hydraulic presses and manipulator among other.
