Bengaluru-based electric scooter manufacturer, River, has launched its first Kerala store in Kochi. Spanning 1,715 sq. ft., the company owned River Store Kochi offers an immersive experience to customers. The store showcases all of River’s offerings including the Indie, accessories, and exclusive merchandise.
The River Store Kochi has a vibrant atmosphere and is designed to showcase the brand’s aesthetics that incorporate ‘flow lines’, pebbles and other organic shapes that evoke the essence of rivers. At the core of the store’s aesthetics are carefully designed habitats. The first habitat depicts how Indie blends into daily life. The second habitat portrays Indie in Kochi’s local cityscape with layered illustrations. The narrative aligns with River’s ethos, taking people from where they are to where they want to be.
Following Kochi, River plans to open stores in Calicut, Thrissur and Trivandrum in the coming months, marking expansion across Kerala. The brand currently operates in 08 outlets across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Hubli and Visakhapatnam. River will expand its footprint to Mysore, Coimbatore, Vijayawada, Goa, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, and Nagpur in the next few weeks. By March 2025, the brand plans to open 25 stores across India.
Speaking about the store launch, Aravind Mani, Co-Founder and CEO, said, “We’ve received a lot of love and interest from Kerala from the very beginning. The Indie will make a perfect companion for people here, given its distinctive design that combines multi-utility and style. Our plan going forward is to launch stores in Calicut, Thrissur and Trivandrum, and we’re excited to bring the River experience across Kerala.”
The Indie is priced at INR ₹1,42,999 (ex-showroom, Kochi). Customers can visit the store for test rides, browse merchandise, or book an Indie. They can also book test rides or make purchases online at www.rideriver.in.
