New Delhi: Senior party leader and general secretary of Haryana unit of the All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) Jagmati Sangwan boycotted the Central Committee meeting and announced her resignation from the committee.
The media witnessed the high voltage drama outside the Party office where she made her announcement to the media. She said that she quit her past in protest against the the party leadership’s decision to align with the Congress in Bengal, a move that cost the party dearly.
Jagmati said that the CPM decision to join hands with the Congress was against the tactical line of the party.
She was seen sobbing while talking to the media.
Later CPM announced that she was expelled from the Central Committee for indulging in anti-party activities.
