Kerala Haj committee chairman C Muhammed Faizi who visited the UAE was offered a warm reception in different emirates of UAE. A new hajj quota for expatriate pilgrims, a special building for women will be constructed at a cost of Rs 7 crore for the women in Kozhikode.
The central Haj Committee will ask the authorities to allocate more leave for the expatriates going to the Hajj. The Saudi government will be asked to avoid charging of 2,000 Riyal for more than one Umrah, facilitating for Indian hajj pilgrims to travel to the holy cities of Saudi Arabia and to provide online system for submitting complaints relating to Hajj and training centre in Kerala for Haj volunteers, said the hajj committee chairman in meet the press of Indian media in Abu Dhabi.
A warm reception was conducted in Sharjah Indian Association in the leadership of the Association President E P Johnson in the presence of various cultural leaders. PKC Mohammed Sakafi welcomed the gathering at the Sharjah Mubarak Centre at reception programme for the hajj committee chairman conducted by ICF Sharjah Central Committee and Kabeer Masters was inaugurated.
Salam Pappinissery, the President of Global Pravasi Association and the legal representative in Sharjah, including eminent personalities spoke at the programme. ‘The services provided by the chairman of hajj committee for the Haj pilgrims, as well as the newly planned projects are very important and pragmatic.’ Salam pappinishery said.
