

NEW DELHI:
Union Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Rajeev Chandrashekar will inaugurate the 146th Mannam Jayanthi celebrations organised by Nair Service Society (NSS) Delhi on January 15.
He will deliver the inaugural address at 4 p m., at the function to be held at Kerala School Auditorium, R K Puram, on January 15 at 4 p m.
Eminent poet Prof V Madhusoodanan Nair will deliver the key-note address on the occasion. NSS Delhi President M K G Pillai will preside over the function.
“The members of the community from NSS Karayogams in the National Capital Region will converge at the celebrations, as an occasion to recall the pioneering role of Bharatha Kesari Mannathu Padmanabhan in reforming the Nair community in particular and the Kerala society as a whole, “said Pillai.
NSS Delhi office-bearers M D Jayaprakash (General Secretary), Babu Panicker, S P Nair and M G Rajasekharan Nair (all Vice-Presidents) will address the gathering.
The award for Mathruka Karayogam and prizes to winners of Sammeksha Kayikolsavam will be presented at the function. The inaugural session will be followed by the staging of a drama by family members from NSS Delhi, directed by Kalabhavan Prajith.
