The IAMAI-Mobile10X Incubation Centre in Kozhikode, supported by the Kerala Startup Mission and located at the Cyberpark was inaugurated by Rajan Anandan, Chairman, IAMAI & Vice President, South East Asia and India, Google.
Mobile10X is an Indian internet industry backed program to support app developers/ app entrepreneurs to bring about a significant change in the App eco-system. In his message during the inauguration, Kerala chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan said: “IAMAI is opening the mobile accelerator mobile 10X hub in Kerala. I am sure this accelerator will help the youth of Kerala to develop interesting mobile apps and create successful startups in the state.”
Inaugurating the incubation centre, Anandan stated that Mobile 10X will provide a strong platform and support the startups to add value to the startup ecosystem. He said: “This would pave the way for promotion of large number of startups that would ‘solve for India’ in
the state of Kerala.”
The founding patrons have curated this programme in unison to educate, engage, evangelize and enable app developers in the country.
The Vision of 10X the mobile app ecosystem are 3 fold:
The Quality (No of Indian apps in top 1000) – From 10 to 100
The Quantity (No of Developers) – From 50k to 500 K.
The Revenue (From the Apps) – From 1000 Cr to 10000 Cr.
The other dignitaries present during the inauguration were Sivasankar M, Secretary, IT, Govt of Kerala; Dr Saji Gopinath, CEO, Kerala Startup Mission; Hrishikesh Nair, CEO, IT Parks Kerala; Subho ray, President IAMAI and Col Jitender Minhas, CEO, Mobile10X.
Earlier, on 29th January 2018, IAMAI Startup Foundation also entered into an MOU with AIC@36INC, to establish Mobile10X Hub in Raipur. The hub is supported by Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (CHIPS), Government of Chhattisgarh, which will be a first of its kind Centre in Chhatishgarh for App based Startups.
The MOU was signed by Rajeev Roy, CEO -36INC and Jitender S Minhas, CEO – IAMAI Startup Foundation, in the august presence of Alex Paul Menon, CEO, CHIPS and Joint Secretary, Department of Information Technology, Government of Chhattisgarh.
At present Mobile 10X has start-up hubs in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Gurugram which include app testing facilities, design labs, co-working spaces, play zones and monetization zones.
