  • Railway Track Maintenance Work at Perinad

    KOLLAM:
    Machine enabled deep screening and tamping (track maintenance works) of rail crossover points at Perinad yard(station limits) will commence from 03rd January 2019.

    These works are scheduled during the night hours thereby causing minimal interference for day/commuter trains. In addition, meticulous planning and coordination amongst concerned departments viz. operating, engineering etc delivered in phasing out all track maintenance dues in the division. As informed earlier, deep screening and tamping tracks at station yards increases the reliability and safety of rail infrastructure. Smooth running of trains at higher speeds is ensured by deep screening works.

    Traffic block is essential for completing the works and minimum line/power block of four and hours is essential for each crossover point at a station. After Ochira, Sasthankotta and Karunagapally, the machines are mobilized to Perinad station for completion of track maintenance. During the scheduled traffic block, open line maintenance departments like Signals Engineering, Electrical Traction Distribution etc are planned to complete their respective maintenance activities. The first phase of works at Perinad will be executed between 03rd January 2019 and 10th January 2019.

    FULL CANCELLATION
    1. Train No. 56300 Kollam-Alappuzha Passenger will be fully cancelled on 06th, 07th, 09th and 11th January 2019.
    2. Train No. 56301 Alappuzha-Kollam Passenger will be fully cancelled on 05th, 06th, 08th and 10th January 2019.

    PARTIAL CANCELLATION
    1. Train No. 66309 Ernakulam-Kollam MEMU via Alappuzha will be partially cancelled between Kollam-Kayamkulam on 03rd and 04th January 2019.
    2. Train No. 56391 Ernakulam-Kollam Passenger via Kottayam will be partially cancelled between Kollam-Kayamkulam on 03rd and 04th January 2019.
    3. Train No. 66302 Kollam-Ernakulam MEMU via Alappuzha will be partially cancelled between Kayamkulam-Kollam on 04th and 05th January 2019.
    4. Train No. 56394 Kollam-Kottayam Passenger will be partially cancelled between Kayamkulam-Kollam on 04th and 05th January 2019.

    RESCHEDULING/REGULATION
    1. On Thursday 03rd January 2019,
    I. Train No. 16347 Thiruvananthapuram-Mangalore Express scheduled to depart from Thiruvananthapuram central at 20.30 hrs. will be rescheduled to depart at 21.30 hrs.(late by 60 minutes), the train will be further regulated for 01 hour 10 minutes at Kollam Jn.

    II.Train No. 16355 Kochuveli-Mangalore.Antyodaya Express scheduled to leave Kochuveli at 21.20 hrs. will be rescheduled to depart at 22.20 hrs.(late by 60 minutes), the train will be further regulated en route for 60 minutes at Kochuveli-Kollam section.

    III.Train No. 16343 Thiruvananthapuram-Madurai Amritha Express scheduled to depart at 22.00 hrs. will be rescheduled to depart at 23.00 hrs(late by 60 minutes), the train will be further regulated for 10 minutes at Kollam Jn.

    IV. Train No. 16792 Palakkad-Tirunelveli Express will be regulated for 2 hours 40 minutes at Kayamkulam-Sasthankotta section.

    2. On Friday 04th January 2019,
    I. Train No. 16311 Shri Ganganagar-Kochuveli Weekly Express will be regulated for 30 minutes at Sasthankotta.

    II. Train No. 16127 Chennai Egmore-Guruvayur Express will be regulated for 01 hour 15 minutes at Kollam Jn.

    III. Train No. 22653 Thiruvananthapuram-Hazrat Nizamuddin Weekly Superfast Express will be regulated for 30 minutes at Kollam Jn.

    IV. Train No. 16792 Palakkad-Tirunelveli Express will be regulated for 3 hours 15 minutes at Kayamkulam-Sasthankotta section.

    V. Train No. 07109 Hyderabad-Kollam Special will be regulated for 3 hours at Kayamkulam-Sasthankotta section.

    3. On Saturday 05th January 2019;
    I. Train No. 07110 Kollam-Hyderabad Special train scheduled to leave Kollam Jn. at 03.00 hrs. will be rescheduled to depart at 05.30 hrs. (late by 2 hours 30 minutes).

    II. Train No. 16343 Thiruvananthapuram-Madurai Amritha Express scheduled to depart at 22.00 hrs. will be rescheduled to depart at 00.00 hrs(late by 02 hours), the train will be further regulated for 02 hours at Kollam Jn.

    III. Train No. 16333 Veraval-Thiruvananthapuram Weekly Express will be regulated for 50 minutes at Sasthankotta.

    IV. Train No. 16127 Chennai Egmore-Guruvayur Express will be regulated for 02 hours 20 minutes in Thiruvananthapuram – Kollam section.

    4. On Sunday 06th January 2019;
    I. Train No. 16343 Thiruvananthapuram-Madurai Amritha Express scheduled to depart at 22.00 hrs. will be rescheduled to depart at 00.00 hrs(late by 02 hours), the train will be further regulated for 02 hours at Kollam Jn.

    II. Train No. 16127 Chennai Egmore-Guruvayur Express will be regulated for 02 hours 20 minutes in Thiruvananthapuram – Kollam Jn. section.

    5. On Monday 07th January 2019;
    I. Train No. 22114 Kochuveli-Lokmanyatilak Biweekly Express scheduled to depart from Kochuveli at 00.35 hrs. will be rescheduled to depart from Kochuveli at 01.35 hrs. (late by 60 minutes), the train will be further regulated for 40 minutes at Kollam Jn.

    II. Train No. 07142 Kollam-Hyderabad Express scheduled to depart from Kollam Jn. at 03.00 hrs. will be rescheduled to depart at 03.50 hrs. (late by 50 minutes).

    6. On Tuesday 08th January 2019;
    I. Train No. 16343 Thiruvananthapuram-Madurai Amritha Express scheduled to depart at 22.00 hrs. will be rescheduled to depart at 00.00 hrs(late by 02 hours), the train will be further regulated for 01 hour 40 minutes at Kollam Jn.

    II. Train No. 16127 Chennai Egmore-Guruvayur Express will be regulated for 02 hours 10 minutes in Thiruvananthapuram – Kollam Jn. section.

    7. On Wednesday 09th January 2019;
    I. Train No. 22655 Thiruvananthapuram-Hazrat Nizamuddin Weekly Superfast Express scheduled to depart from Thiruvananthapuram central at 01.00 hrs will be rescheduled to depart at 02.00 hrs. and the train will be further regulated for 40 minutes at Kollam Jn.

    II. Train No. 16331 Mumbai CSMT-Thiruvananthapuram Weekly Express will be regulated for 01 hour 10 minutes at Sasthankotta.

    III. Train No. 16128 Guruvayur-Chennai Egmore Express will be regulated for 50 minutes at Karunagapally.

    IV. Train No 16348 Mangalore-Thiruvananthapuram Express will be regulated for 15 minutes at Ochira.

    8. On Thursday the 10th January 2019;
    I. Train No. 16343 Thiruvananthapuram-Madurai Amritha Express scheduled to depart at 22.00 hrs. will be rescheduled to depart at 00.00 hrs(late by 02 hours), the train will be further regulated for 02 hours at Kollam Jn.

    II. Train No 15905 Kanniyakumari-Dibrugarh Vivek Express scheduled to depart from Kanniyakumari at 23.00 hrs. will be rescheduled to depart from Kanniyakumari at 00.00 hrs. (late by 60 minutes),

    III. Train No. 16127 Chennai Egmore-Guruvayur Express will be regulated for 02 hours 20 minutes in Thiruvananthapuram – Kollam Jn. section.

    9. On Friday 11th January 2019;
    I. Train No. 07142 Kollam-Hyderabad Express scheduled to depart from Kollam Jn. at 03.00 hrs. will be rescheduled to depart at 03.50 hrs. (late by 50 minutes).
