Thiruvananthapuram: The previous UDF Goverenment had violated norms and allotted money to meet the legal expenses of K M Mani in fighting the Bar Bribery case, according to the cabinet sub-committee of the current state government.
Public money from the state exchequer was spent for hiring leading lawyers to represent K M Mani and for the legal expenses, the committee said. This was in spite of the objections raised by Law and Home departments.
