There is a steady increase in movement of Sabarimala Pilgrim Passengers through trains recently and the railways have made all special arrangements for smooth movement of passengers at Chengannur and Kottayam Railway stations. As a part of crowd management initiative and to pass on maximum benefit to genuine railway passengers visiting sabarimala through these stations, the Platform Ticket rates of Kottayam and Chengannur stations will be revised from Rs 10/- to Rs 20/- per platform ticket from 01.12.2018 to 20.01.2019. This will prevent misuse of Railway premises by unauthorized people.
SABARI SPECIALS
South Central Railway has announced the following special fare special trains for the convenient journey of pilgrim passengers during this Sabarimala Festival Season.
1. Train No.07109/07110 Hyderabad-Kollam-Hyderabad Special (via. Kazipet, Vijayawada, Gudur, Renigunta, Melpakkam) (15 services):
Train No. 07109 Hyderabad-Kollam special train will depart Hyderabad at 15:55 hrs on 11th , 15th , 19th, 24th, December 2018, 3rd, 6th, 10th, 13th January 2019 and arrive Kollam at 23.55 hrs on the next day.
In the return direction, Train No. 07110 Kollam-Hyderabad special train will depart Kollam at 03.00hrs on 08th, 15th, 24th , 26th December, 2018 and 5th, 8th, 12th and 15th January 2019 and arrive Hyderabad at 10.30 hrs the next day.
