All Goa Photographers and Videographers Association (AGPVA) has announced a photography competition, in association with Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (GSIDC) in an effort to promote the talent of budding p
GSIDC was formed as a Special Purpose Vehicle for the speedy implementation of infrastructure for the State of Goa. Since its inception the corporation has successfully completed more than 150 projects and has around 97 on-going projects, and 87 projects in the pipeline.
There are 7 competition categories that highlight the work of GSIDC. These include Connectivity, Healthcare, Public Amenities, Sports and Education, Art and culture, Clean & Green Urban Spaces and Aerial Photography. The projects that fall into these categories are listed on www.gsidcltd.com and the GSIDC Facebook page.
The competition carries attractive cash prizes and is open to all photographers who are legal residents of India. So get your cameras out and start focusing. The first place carries a cash prize of Rs. 25,000, second place – Rs. 20,000 and 3rd place – Rs. 15,000. Additionally there are 6 consolation prizes of Rs. 5000 each. A special prize of Rs. 25,000 will be awarded to the winning entry in the Aerial Photography category.
The entries will be judged based on creativity, quality and originality. Judging will be conducted by an empaneled jury appointed by GSIDC. The contest opens on 7th October 2016 and the last date for submissions is 17th October 2016. The results will be declared on the 20th of October 2016 on the GSIDC website. The prize distribution ceremony will take place on the same day, which coincides with the AGPVA’s Fou

Participants are requested to read the specifications before submitting their entries. The AGPVA was formed with the intention of increasing the popularity of photography, bringing a spotlight on local talent and elevating the status of photography and videography. Formed in October 2015, the AGPVA has gained a lot of traction, having already registered 105 members within the year.
