Former Supreme Court justice Cyriac Joseph said that an open approach is needed by the doctors who are following various treatment methods.
He was inaugurating the function to honour traditional medical practitioners at the Nature Life National Sammelan 2018 organised by Gandhi Smarak Prakratik Chitkitsa Samithi (GSPCS), Rajghat, Delhi and Nature Life International, Kochi, Kerala. Cyriac Joseph said that he was well aware that other treatment methods was able to cure diseases where the allopathy failed.
The society will get the advantage of various treatment methods only if there is an open approach in this regard. Otherwise the doctors will only get the advantage, not the patients, he said.
Traditional medical practitioners M I Mathews Vaidyan, Palakkad native, who treats autism, Malayattoor Sukumaran Vaidyan who treats cancer, Harippad P S Soman Vaidyan (Atmanandayogi) who treats eye diseases, Annam Kutty Joseph from Idukki who treats humans and animals in traditional method, P V Balakrishnan Vaidyar from Pambadumpara, Idukki, who treats piles and urinary diseases, K Ravindranathan who is a disciple of Swami Nirmalanandagiri was honoured by Justice Cyraic Joseph and naturopathy expert Dr Jacob Vadakkanchery.
Dr MP Mathai delivered the keynote address at the seminar on ‘Health Swaraj’. John Joseph, T R Premkumar, Purushan Eloor, K Ravindranathan, Arun Thathagath spoke. The website of Nature Life Products, Aruvi Nature Food Restaurant and Nature Life International was launched in the occasion.
The meet was attended by more than 500 leading naturopathy experts and traditional medicine practitioners from India which focused on the paradigm shifts in modern medical practices and treatment, the relevance of naturopathy and alternative medicine.
