THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Students of the National Institute of Speech and Hearing (NISH) put up a great show at the 23rd National Deaf Sports Championship by winning medals in major categories of the event held at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, Chennai from January 27 -31.
Sreejishna K.S (Girls above 18 yrs) bagged gold medals in High Jump and Long Jump competitions with remarkable performances. In volleyball competition (Girls above 18 yrs), the NISH team comprising Anjali. C, Lini Eldhose, Athira K. S, Megha M, Anjali. N, and Ancy Arackal bagged silver medal for the runner up in the game.
In badminton match, (Girls above 18 yrs) Pallavi Pawar won bronze medal. Gladin Thomas won gold in 800 M race while Benin George Varghese got bronze in High Jump (Boys Above 18 yrs).
