THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The National Institute of Speech and Hearing (NISH), in collaboration with the Directorate of Social Justice, will conduct an online seminar on “Clubfoot Deformity and its Treatment” for the caregivers of this disability on Saturday, April 21.
This 30th online Interactive Disability Awareness Seminar (NIDAS) by NISH will be led by Dr. Santhosh George G., Director CURE International India, Regional Director for Asia, CURE Clubfoot, and will be streamed live for registered participants from the NISH campus at Akkulam, Thiruvananthapuram from 10.30 am. The proceedings will be simultaneously webcast to all the District Child Protection Units (DCPU) offices for audiences there.
The two-and-a-half hour webinar, in Malayalam, aims at giving awareness on the clubfoot deformity, its causes and the available treatment facilities to parents and caregivers. Those who wish to participate may contact the Child Protection Units Officer nearest to them or register online on http://nidas.nish.ac.in/be-a-participant/
Registrants should have a personal computer/laptop/tablet along with reliable high speed internet connectivity, webcam and microphone to take part in the discussions. Interested people from Thiruvananthapuram district can attend the seminar at NISH.
