Muthoot Finance Ltd, India’s largest gold loan company’s Corporate Social Responsibility wing Muthoot M George Foundation launched “Muthoot Sneha Samanam 2019” to honour artists, writers and their widows by providing financial assistance. This initiative is a part of the Corporate Social Responsibility activities undertaken by the company.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. A. S Joby, Cine Artist along with George Thomas Muthoot, Jt. Managing Director, Muthoot Finance Ltd. Other officials present during this occasion included K S Prasad, Secretary, Kalabhavan, John V George, DGP Haryana (Retd) & Executive Vice President, Muthoot Finance Ltd., Susil Kumar, Professor, RLV College, George Varghese, Director, Muthoot Institute of Technology & Science, Dr. P C Neelakanda, Principal, MITS, Babu John Malayil, DGM, Corporate Communications, Vinod, Regional Manager, Muthoot Finance Ltd.
The first edition of Snehasammanam was launched on January, 2015. 14 beneficiaries were then honoured. In 2016 and 2017, 12 artists and In 2018 7 more artists were chosen. Muthoot Snehasammanam 2019 will honour 8 more thus bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 44. These beneficiaries were selected from applications received from artists, writers, and their dependents. These beneficiaries belong to various different backgrounds, which specialise in their respective work segments namely writers, music directors, ganmela artist, professional painters etc.
The initiative aims to help the upcoming generation of artist and writers who could get inspired and learn from the work of these professionals. Perhaps it will also help the young minds of today in learning from their experiences and carrying forward their work in their respective fields. The pensions are given on a monthly basis. The first instalment of the pension for the financial year 2019-20 was distributed during the event. From next month onwards each beneficiaries will be getting the amount from their nearest Muthoot Finance branch.

We will remain duly committed to our obligations to our society and will ensure that our efforts towards it remain constant and enduring in the near future too”
