KOCHI:
The literary works of famous Hindi writer Gajanan Madhav Mukthibodh’s will surpass time and give renewed vigour to mankind, opined Rajesh Joshi, famous Hindi writer in his keynote address in the three day UGC national seminar on the writings of Mukthibodh.
The seminar is organized by the Department of Hindi, CUSAT in commemoration of the 100 th birth
anniversary of Mukthibodh. One must understand the background of his works as well as the ideologies that influenced him to understand Mukktibodh fully, he added.
A re-evaluation of the works of Mukthibodh is the need of the hour, stated Dr. K. Vanaja, Head, Department of Hindi, Cusat, who presided. Cusat Vice Chancellor Dr. J. Letha inaugurated the function.
Eminent personalities Dr. Ajai Tiwari, Dr. Anand Patil, Dr. Vivek Nirala, Prof. P. V. Vijayan, Prof. Sasidharan and Prof. Ajtha spoke on the occasion. Students and Teachers from various Universities in and outside Kerala will present research papers. The seminar will conclude on December 17.
