THRISSUR:
Fr Davis Chiramel Charitable Trust has announced “Mobile Phone Challenge” for enabling smartphones to financially weak students.
Trust Chief Patron Fr Davis Chiramel, Chairman Rajan Thomas and Managing Trustee C V Jose said that the mobile challenge is to collect new mobile phones as well as mobilephones in good working condition to be distributed to deserved students. New mobile phones are more preferred.
Mobile phones which can be used again can be given after formatting the data and other information in it. These phones will be examined by experts before distributing to students. The eligible students will be identified with the support of the headmasters of respective schools. The trust is planning to distribute atleast 1,000 phones to students.
The Trust had distributed 840 televisions to various schools earlier and distribution of mobile phones will also be done in the same manner. Priority will be given to students who are residing at the coastal and backward areas. Those who wish to donate mobile phones can contact in phone numbers: 9037175191 and 9562108822.
