Aiming to encourage, collaborate and discuss women in technology, Maker Village, the Electronics Incubator in Kerala, in association with Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Women In Engineering (WIE) Congress- Kochi Hub will jointly host ‘SHE 2017’.
The three-day event to be organised from October 20 (Friday) to October 22 at Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT), Angamaly will throw light on state of the art technologies including IoT and Robotics.
“Maker Village is extending support to SHE-2017 as part of its ambitious vision to develop a meaningful community for women in technology and positively change the landscape of the Indian economy. The event will be a perfect blend of technical and managerial knowledge under one roof to help a budding entrepreneur,” said Prasad Balakrishnan, CEO, Maker Village.
An impressive line-up of technology industry experts from across the country will address the participants at the upcoming ‘SHE 2017’ to deliberate on the paramount role of technology in giving a fillip to the women power in start-up ecosystem.
“The Project presentation competition as a part of the event aims to enable the tech-enthusiasts in Kerala to come forward and put their brains together to solve the accessibility challenge faced by mankind. In order to recognize the efforts of these young minds, Maker Village is providing pre-incubation facility for the best quality project, along with relevant mentorship,” said Rohan Kalani, COO, Maker Village.
In this pre- incubation stage the selected teams will get a chance to convert their concepts into a prototype within a time limit using the infrastructure provided by Maker Village.
