THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The first-ever Kerala Business Quiz League that aims to upgrade business knowledge and skills of techies through gaming will be held in August at Technopark here.
The Kerala edition of the event is organised by International Quizzing Association (IQA Asia), Electronics & IT Department of Kerala and FICCI Kerala State Council in association with Technopark and GTech.
The event is scheduled to be held in Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Malabar regions. Technopark is the venue partner for the Thiruvananthapuram region.
Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) and Digital University of Kerala are the organising partners, while Kerala State IT Mission is the coordinating partner of the event.
As a precursor, a demonstration of the quiz event was held at Technopark here on Wednesday for participants from various companies to acclimatize with the concept of gamifying business skills and knowledge.
IT Mission Director Anu Kumari and GTech CEO Eapen Toni John were also present at the demo programme, led by Snehaj Srinivas, the Quiz Man of Kerala.
Adhish Jubil C and Vaisakh S of Genrobotics emerged winners in the demo quiz event.
Business Quiz League focuses on gamifying the skills of observation, analytical skills, logical reasoning, communication skills, lateral thinking, time management, decision making and problem-solving capacities of techies, besides channelising all these to the overall work productivity. Other objectives of the event are developing a platform to showcase and highlight unique services, industries and success stories in business.
Prominent business leaders and senior Civil Service officers are part of the organising committee and also among the guest quiz masters. The six-month-long programme consists of three quiz leagues with 15 events (5 events in each league) to be conducted in Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Malabar regions.
Moreover, during the six months league, registered teams can participate in 25 online quizzes conducted as promotional events. All the quizzes are researched and presented by Q Factory Knowledge Services, the first professional quizzing entity of Kerala.
