BENGALURU:
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M), concluded the fifth edition of the Mahindra Adventure ‘Club Challenge’ where the top 15 off-roading clubs from across the country, competed for off-roading honors.
After an arduous battle, over two days and 7 obstacles, the overall winner trophy was presented to Kerala based off-roading club ‘Wayanad Jeepers’ who took home a grand prize money of Rs. 5 lakh. The first runner up ‘Bangalore Off-Road Driver’s Association’ (BODA) won a prize amount of Rs.3 lakh, while ‘R&T Off-Road Club’, grabbed the second runner up title, taking home a prize money of Rs.2 lakh.
Other participating clubs this year included Team XXPENDABLEZZ Club 4*4, D.OT, East Jainita Adventure Motorsport, Motor Sports Club of Meghalaya, Punjab OffRoaders Club, Kerala Adventure Sports Club, Verge Racing, Extreme OffRoaders, 4*4 KROC, Northern India OffRoad Club, KTM Jeepers, and Flywheel.
Participants from the best off-roading clubs from across India battled at the ‘Club Challenge’ to win the coveted title of ‘Best Off-Roading Club’ in India. All obstacles focused on teamwork rather than on individual performances. The Club Challenge kicked off on February 22, 2020 with exciting night stages. The next day, February 23, 2020 witnessed the day stages and concluded by a grand award ceremony in Bengaluru.
The signature obstacle ‘Demolition Derby’, continued to be a part of this year’s challenge, as the off-road vehicles negotiated a path over scrapped vehicles. Another iconic obstacle ‘Pass the Baton’ witnessed all classes of vehicles run a relay format of driving and pass the
baton from one vehicle to another tackling the obstacles and then crossing the finish line. Some of the new obstacles introduced this year were Straps of God, Drag Race and Tug of War.
