THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Creating a safe and comfortable zone for breastfeeding women during their journeys, a startup mentored by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) launched a state-of-the-art breastfeeding pod at the Central Railway Station here on Tuesday.
Christened ‘Domatio’, the new age breastfeeding pod, is part of the project of installing the facility at three railway stations across Kerala. Dr. Anupama R, President, IMA Thiruvananthapuram, inaugurated ‘Domatio’ at the Central Railway Station, in the presence of Dr. Rajesh Chandran, IRTS, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager.
‘I Love 9 Months’, a maternity wellness startup, is implementing the project in association with KSUM, CIMAR Hospitals, Kochi, and Saroja Hospital, Thrissur.
Harsha Krishna, CI, Headquarters; Sunil, SMR, Commercial TVC; Sreekumaran Nair, Chief Ticketing Inspector TVC; and ‘I Love 9 Months’ teammembers Ganga Raj, Nithya Ramaswamy, Arya Devarajan, Ms Anupriya. S, and Ms Chithra Jugunu were also present on the occasion.
The facility was set up in Thrissur Railway Station last week and it will be opened in Ernakulam South Railway Station on September 5. ‘Domatio’ is designed to help women comfortably breastfeed infants in public places like shopping malls, restaurants, hospitals, zoo, bus stand, and railway station etc.
