According to a survey conducted by, a healthcare advocacy firm, most doctors feel the sudden ban on these drugs has damaged their reputation.
Doctors said they were getting queries from worried patients who had been using these drugs.
The survey revealed that 80% of them were prescribing at least one drug from the 344 drug combinations which are commonly used as antibiotics and painkillers.
The survey was conducted among 4,892 doctors in the country to understand the impact of the ban on the medical fraternity.
40% of the doctors who responded to the survey termed the ban on these drugs “unnecessary”.
