SHARJAH:
After financial and legal struggles, the body of Pandalam native in Pathanamthitta district, Binu Rajan, who passed away in Sharjah, was brought back to his home. His wife Srila, who had a travel ban, will also accompany her husband on his last journey.
Binu Rajan died of a heart attack at his residence in Sharjah on the 29th of last month. Delays in forensic procedures and the subsequent travel ban following a case filed by a real estate company hindered the repatriation of the body and Srila’s travel.
With the intervention of Yab Legal Service CEO Salam Pappinissery, the court completed the proceedings and lifted Srila’s travel ban. The body was taken to Thiruvananthapuram by Air India flight.
Binu, a printing press designer, was in a financially devastated state after losing his job. He was mentally paralyzed by the loss of his eyesight due to diabetes.
The family relied on Srila’s income to survive. The body, which arrived in his village was cremated in the family compound. His children, Nandini and Niveth, are studying in the village.
