‘Swachhata Pakhwada-2020’ in Cochin Port was launched by Dr. M. Beena, Chairperson, Cochin Port Trust today (16.09.2020). Swachhata Pledge was administered by the Chairperson. Cyril C. George, Dy. Chairman and Heads of the Department were present.
Swachhata Pledge was administered in all divisions/sections of the Port followed by shramdan cleaning activities in the office premises by employees. The activities were carried out in compliance of the social distancing/safety instructions issued by the Government to contain Covid-19 pandemic.
Swachhata Pakhwada 2020 will be observed in Cochin Port from 16 th to 30 th September 2020. Activities proposed during Swachhata Pakhwada 2020 include cleaning of work places, office premises, crafts and public spaces within the Port area, providing ‘divyang’ access to offices, short film competition on Swachhata theme (using own mobile phone camera) for employees, poster designing competition for children of employees and awareness programme highlighting the importance of Swachhata.
