Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) will hold from Wednesday a two-day event that aims to boost entrepreneurship among women by providing a common platform for leaders from various fields of business.
The December 15-16 Women Startup Summit 3.0will see delegates participating in two sections: Innovation Challenge and Investor Café. ‘Rise to Equal — Post-Pandemic Era’ is the title of the hybrid meet that features influential women from the ecosystem. The venue is Hotel Crown Plaza in the city even as the entire proceedings can be watched at https://wss.startupmission.in/. Aspirants can continue to register online, organisers said.
With 40 experts from within the country and abroad addressing, the meet features seven panel discussions on domains such as entrepreneurship, economy and technology. One key attraction on the inaugural day is an entrepreneur networking meet for women. Delegates can physically participate in this session.
Through its website, KSUM will provide tickets to those wanting to participate in Women Startup Summit 3.0.
The winners of the Innovation Challenge are set to receive a grant of Rs 5 lakh, having applied from Indian startups with one or more women as the principal shareholders. With a feasible product model conceived, these are start-ups that have registered with DPIIT and bear KSUM’s unique ID.
Along with the Rs 5-lakh grant, the winning entrepreneurs are eligible for soft loans of up to Rs 15 lakh (with an interest rate of six per cent), besides seed funds.
The Investor Café aims to promote investment in existing startups, providing entrepreneurs an opportunity to directly interact with investors so as to further strengthen business.
Besides sharing experiences, Women Startup Summit 3.0 will give the participants a venue to air their aspirations and success stories. Being hosted with an objective to build awareness of business innovations, the summit encourages inclusivity in the ecosystem by empowering women with upskilling and global collaboration opportunities.
KSUM is the nodal agency of the Kerala government for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the state.
