KOCHI:
Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) is organizing a programme on the devastating floods that hit many parts of Kerala recently and the post-deluge rebuilding mission launched by the state, here on September 19.
The event, #Rebuilding Kerala, to be held at KinfraHitech Park, Kalamassery at 5 pm, aims at serving as a platform for exchanging ideas, fostering partnerships and building beneficial networks.
The topic of the discussion, planned as part of the monthly Meetup Cafe of KSUM, is ‘Lessons from flood: Life is not about earning money, its about living together and help each other’.
Prasanth Nair, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, and Anshu Gupta, founder, Goonj, an NGO which undertakes disaster relief, will participate in the debate.
Anbodu Kochi team, a citizens’ collective that actively participated in relief activities in Kochi , and Team Compassionate Keralam, the online platform which supported the flood-affected families by connecting them with people who can donate much-needed relief materials, will also join the event.
There will also be a panel discussion on ‘How Kerala flood relief effort became a shining example of Digital India’s promise’.
