KOCHI:
Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) will be organising speed dating sessions to connect startups with investors on the last Wednesday of every month in Kochi.
This one-to-one monthly session, styled as Investor Café, will serve as a platform for startups to meet multiple investors and explore the possibility of scaling up their ventures with the backing of the investors looking for viable projects.
The Investor Café, to be held at the newly inaugurated Integrated Startup Complex at North Kalamassery, Kochi, will also feature investors from Angel Networks and partners of VC firms. Interested startups can apply till March 25 for attending the Investor Café.
For registration, visit: https://startupmission.kerala.gov.in/pages/investorcafe. Shortlisted startups will be invited for a mock pitch and the eligible ones will be invited for pitching at Investor Cafe.
“Kerala is poised for a far stronger startup ecosystem, as four investment funds have opened the possibilities of more than Rs 1,000 crore for new business ventures in the next four years,” said M Sivasankar, Secretary, Kerala Electronics and IT Department.
Unicorn India Ventures, Exseed Electron Fund, Indian Angel Network and Speciale Incept Fund are the financial entities the government has selected in response to a tender floated recently.
Since the pact mandates investing 25 per cent of the volunteered amount in the next four years, the State is guaranteed a minimum investment of Rs 300 crore by 2022 fiscal. KSUM is the nodal agency of Government of Kerala for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the State.
