Reflecting on major opportunities tourism sector is opening up for startups, Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM)-registered in-destination tours and experiences booking platform Thrillark has clocked more than two lakh customers.
Thrillark, which gained momentum during the Covid period, has grown into a fast-growing player in tourism sector, having offices in 40 cities around the world. It offers attractive packages to various tourist destinations at lower rates. Facilitating purchase of tickets in Indian currency in the Gulf and European countries makes its services additionally attractive.
Noting that “experiences” defines the future of travel, Thrillark co-founder Firoz Musthafa said “It is not about where you go, but what you feel to be a tourist in a place.” Thrillark, he said, offers a variety of services, including visits to cultural and heritage sites, world-famous museums, unknown natural attractions and heritage-walks.
In addition to the existing services in 40 cities, Thrillark is set to add 20 more destinations. The focus is on the Gulf and Southeast Asian countries.
As part of its expansion, the company is preparing to achieve sustainable growth through investment mobilization, more job opportunities, and diversification of services, officials revealed.
The 2006-founded KSUM (Kerala Startup Mission) functions as the government’s nodal agency, working for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the state.
