The repairs and upgradation of three schools were inaugurated at the hands of Kiran Kandolkar, Chairman of Goa State Horticulture Corporation and MLA of Thivim Constituency.
The schools that had been renovated were Government Primary Middle School at Thivim, Government Primary School at Madel, Thivim as well as the Government Primary Middle School, Assonora. The ceremo
distinguished presence of Dikshya Kandolkar, Zilla Panchayat Member, Sirsaim.
Besides this dignitary, the event at Assonora was also graced by Govind Kubal Zilla Panchayat Member, Colvale and Sapna Mapari Sarpanch, Village Panchayat, Assonora. The Government Primary School at Madel Thivim spans an area of 210 sq. mts. The scope of work included the construction of new classrooms with Managalore tiled roofs, construction of an additional veranadah for mid-day meal facilities, upgradation of the toilet block, building of the compound wall, painting and general repairs.
The Government Primary Middle School at Thivim covers a floor area of 400 sq mts. The extent of workincluded the provision of roof covering with single skin Galvalume sheets, laying of new flooring tiles, electrical works, indoor and outdoor painting and general repairs.
The Government Primary Middle School at Assonora is the largest of the three institutes, GSIDCspanning an area of 500 sq mts. The work undertaken here included the provision of roofing with double skin Galvalume sheets, new flooring, internal and external paiting, upgradation of the toilet block, and privision and laying of pavers in the assembly area, amongst other renovations and repair work.
Currently GSIDC is in the process of building high quality infrastructure projects in the state which includes the holistic development of rural and urban spaces.
