THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
KIMSHEALTH Trivandrum held a mega Covid-19 vaccination drive, with V.K. Prasanth, MLA, inaugurating the 24-hour initiative as part of its efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
Speaking on the occasion, Prasanth hailed the active role played by KIMSHEALTH since the outbreak of the pandemic in Kerala. “The present vaccination drive will make its ongoing containment efforts more effective,” the Vattiyoorkavu legislator added.
District Medical Officer Dr. Shinu K.S. said all should get vaccinated to accelerate the pace of the containment efforts, especially in the context of increase in the number of daily case load.
KIMSHEALTH Group COO Jerry Philip said the drive targeted vaccinating 10,000 people in a single day. In the following days, the hospital will hold daily spot vaccination from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day.
Today’s vaccination drive was led by KIMSHEALTH’s Infectious Disease Consultant Dr A. Rajalakshmi, Infectious Disease Associate Consultant Dr. Muhammed Niyas and Medical Director Dr. B. Rajan besides the Group Marketing Head Y.R. Vinod and Vaccine Coordinator Jithin.
