Kerala Startup Mission, Google and IAMAI to Launch ‘Hack for India’ in Kozhikkode on Oct 21-22

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), which has launched Mobile10X programme to make the country a global app superpower, will collaborate with Google and Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) to launch the Kozhikode edition of ‘Hack for India’ on October 21 and 22.
The IAMAI-Mobile10X Hackathon is a free event and open to all app enthusiasts. Anyone who has the zeal to develop an app for India can participate. A participating team can have a maximum of four members.
“The event, to be held at Govt. Cyberpark, Kozhikkode, has been conceived as part of a learning process and also motivate the participants with exciting prizes,” said Dr. Saji Gopinath, CEO, Kerala Startup Mission. The hackathon will ask the developers to build their prototypes within the prescribed 24 hours. They can also bring a partially completed prototype to the event. Apps have to be primarily focused on sectors like public service, gaming, utility, interaction, education, healthcare, commerce, travel etc. In addition to this, hackers can also develop apps with ideas of their own interest.
