The 10th annual meet of Kerala Sports Goods Dealers Association (AKSDA) has asked the government to prevent tax evasion in sports goods trading.
The practice of selling sports equipments for skating, badminton, archery and fencing directly to the schools by the coaches and trainers without paying proper tax to the government is a great threat to the sports goods industry. A petition has been forwarded to the sports ministry in order to take adequate actions for solving the issues related to E-Way bill, after sale services, ensure margin for top selling products of top brands, high tax rate of sports products and insecurity of online sales.
Proceedings has been started to deliver insurance security and low interest loans for members. In the meet P. A Chenthamarakshan, Anil Mahajan, Jose Paul, Saji Tall Boy and T. K Salim were selected as AKSDA chairman, president, general secretary, treasurer and state coordinator respectively.
