THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The State Government will be honouring tourism sector personnel including life guards, who actively participated in the rescue operations during the devastating flood that hit Kerala recently.
Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran will attend the function to be held at Kanakakunnu Palace at 4pm on September 03 (Monday) here. Boat drivers and, staff members of Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) and District Tourism Promotion Councils (DTPC), and those who plunged into the rescue operations under the aegis of various organisations in the tourism sector will also be honoured at the function.
Rani George, Secretary, Tourism, Balakiran, Director, Tourism, and office bearers of organisations in the tourism sector will attend.
