Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), part of the USD 20.7 billion Mahindra Group has announced that it has recently handed over 65 Mahindra TUV300 SUVs to the Kerala Excise Department.
Minister for Labour and Excise T.P. Ramakrishnan flagged off the vehicles recently, at a function in Thiruvananthapuram. As part of modernizing the Excise Department and strengthening of enforcement activities, these 65 Mahindra TUV300s were inducted into the Excise Department’s fleet. In fact Mahindra TUV300 is proud to be part of Excise Department’s Vision – “to build up a liquor abuse free society and eradicate drug abuse for ensuring a happy, peaceful and prosperous society”.
TUV300 is powered by a 1.5-litre mHawk diesel engine that puts out 100PS of power with 240Nm of torque, a powerful drive performance. The TUV300 is the only sub 4M compact SUV that comes with a 7-seater layout, in addition to its bold true blue SUV design. This particular variant can seat seven. Thanks to all these features, the TUV300 is becoming increasingly popular in the government fleet and private sectors, alike. Since its launch the TUV300 has sold over 1 lakh vehicles.
Mahindra SUVs also have a long-standing association with the Police forces in India and multiple Police Forces are now inducting the TUV300 and TUV300 Plus, which is a 9-seater, in their fleet for patrolling.
