As part of the recently initiated KBFC Young Blasters program, Kerala Blasters FC launches eight Affiliated Academies in South Kerala as the first phase of the program.
Technical support including a KBFC certified coach and a unified curriculum, benchmarked with the best grassroots program across the world will be provided by the club to the affiliated academies, in addition to Marketing support. This program is aimed at growing the Grassroots and Youth football across the state by empowering the local footballing eco-system and providing the highest quality football education to students and also regular training of their coaching staff. Aspirants between the age group of 6-18 years are eligible to register with the academies.
On behalf of the launch, a free open trial session will be held in all Affiliated Academies over the next two weeks, starting from 25th January 2020. This session will be conducted under the guidance of Mario Marinica, the KBFC Technical Director. Selected participants will be eligible for a scholarship and free professional training in the respective Affiliated Academies.
“Kerala Blasters FC is developing a springboard for a new generation of players and coaches. The prime objective is to set up a uniform high standard footballing platform across the state, for the benefit of Kerala Blasters and Indian Football in general.” says Mario Marinica, Technical Director,Kerala Blasters FC.
“This is the first phase of our initiative. Built on strong values of Technique, Purpose and Joy, we will be expanding to other parts of Kerala in the coming future! Our aim is to provide a high standard of coaching to children and coaches from these academies, and in doing so, contribute to the development of the large footballing eco-system in Kerala”, says Mohamed Rafik, Director of Football, Kerala Blasters FC.
