The 17th Kerala Bamboo Fest Kerala Bamboo Fest was held at Virtual Platform which began on 16 February ended on 20 February 2021. The Fest jointly organised by the Kerala State Bamboo Mission (KSBM), Kerala Bureau of Industrial Promotion (K-BIP) and the State Industries Department in association with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) as the Trade & Industry Partner was inaugurated by E.P. Jayarajan, Minister for Industries, Govt. of Kerala.
Sellers comprising of Bamboo Artisans and producers of various bamboo products such as Office stationery, bamboo blinds, kitchen utensils, decorative items, interior design, bamboo furniture, building materials and bamboo seedlings and various bamboo products were displayed at the virtual Exhibition during the Kerala Bamboo Fest.
Several buyers from various parts of the country and abroad visited the stalls and lots of Business enquiries were generated during the Fest. Fruitful B2Bs and one to one meeting were organised during the Kerala Bamboo Fest at the FICCI Bike Platform. Business Meets were organised with leading procurement Organisations from India such as Lulu Group, IKEA, Flipkart, Eram Group etc. Many Large organisations have shown interest to procure Bamboo Products from the Sellers of Bamboo products from Kerala.
“Department of Industries & Commerce and Kerala State Bamboo Mission would continue to support and promote Bamboo products manufactures in Kerala to promote their products to the various potential buyers inside and outside Kerala through various Govt. initiatives in this regard,” said E.P. Jayarajan, Minister for Industries, Govt of Kerala.
A Technical session on Bamboo innovation and Marketing was also organised during the Fest by the organisors of the Kerala Bamboo Fest in association with South Asia Bamboo Foundation. Prominent Speakers from India and abroad addressed the participants.
