Coconut Development Board is extending accident Insurance for coconut tree climbers and Neera techinicians under Kera Suraksha Insurance Scheme. The sum insured under this scheme is Rs.2 lakhs, and is being implemented through Oriental Insurance Company Ltd, Divisional Office, Tripunithura, Ernakulam, Kerala.
All the trainees under FOCT training programme and Neera technician training programme are covered under the scheme for one year from the first day of their training. Traditional coconut tree climbers can also avail benefit under this scheme. The period of insurance is one year, on expiry of which, the same needs to be renewed for ensuring continued benefits under the scheme. Application form duly filled in, countersigned by Agriculture
