“For it is in giving that we receive” – Aegon Life Insurance, a new age digital life insurance company of India, embraced this dictum by hosting week-long activities as part of the ‘Joy of Giving’ week celebrations from October 03 to 10, 2018.
The ‘Joy of Giving’ week, a globally renowned festival of giving is celebrated annually at Aegon Life. The 2018 celebrations concluded with active, pan-India participation from its 1000+ employee base and 28 branches, ensuring maximum contributions.
Saba Adil, Chief People and Operating Officer, Aegon Life Insurance said, “The Joy of Giving week is an initiative at Aegon Life which employees look forward to every year, simply because it is about giving back & spreading happiness. In the years since we began celebrating the Joy of Giving week, we find our employees motivated to share their good fortune with those less fortunate and take pride in contributing to this drive. Being a digital player, this year, our focus was on making a shift towards paperless workspaces to reduce our carbon footprint. We have also urged our employees to always focus on health first and we facilitated that through our wellness camps.”

Contribution to Goonj of old clothes, books, stationery and toys for children from marginalized communities
Gift a smile with stationery donations to local orphanages
Health check-ups for employees across locations
Pot lucks – to encourage sharing meals and build connect with colleagues through community lunches
Thanking your colleagues through personalized notes and felicitating the service staff for being there.
Encouraging paperless workspaces through consciously reducing prints
Wellness camp kiosks for employees to check on their overall health viz. bone mineral density tests for women, child immunity programmes and smoking cessation programmes.
Blood donation drive to sensitize employees on the importance of donating blood.
