New Delhi: Indian roads will soon see the presence of Ford Company’d muscle car ‘Mustang’ from now on. The variant with 5-litre V8 petrol engine coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission was launched in Delhi on Tuesday. The Indian variant costs Rs 65 lakhs in Delhi.
This first muscle car has 8 airbags including knee airbags. Other features are crash sensors, safety belt pre-tensioners, 19-inch wheels, performance brakes and SYNC 2 voice control paired to an 8-inch touchscreen. The standard equipment has four driving modes, which are Normal, Sport+, Track and Wet.
Its ground clearance is 137 mm and the boot capacity is 383 litres of cargo and its fuel tank capacity is 61 litre. Mustang is 2-door car, that can seat four people. The car measures 4784 mm in length, 2080 mm in width and 1391 mm in height. The top speed of the car has been electronically limited at 250 kmph.
