Mesmerised by the Mughal architecture and intricate inlay patterns delicately carved on moonlit marble, the all – white summer collection aptly named Moonlit Romance by Sounia Gohil celebrates the enchanting grace of Persian architecture at the India Beach Fashion Week in Goa.

uettes are crafted out of luscious soft textiles enhanced with poetic patterns of floral motifs inspired by Mughal designs. Dramatic silken fringe details, daring styled and seductive cuts best describes this line of Romantic cruise wear with an Arabic soul.
Sounia Gohil’s label is essentially a quintessential youthful mix of modern yet elegant silhouettes combined with timeless traditional intricate embroideries injecting, vivacity into the creations with an upbeat colour palette presenting feminine grace with an edgy yet feminine recherché. Glamorous yet energetic, the assortment in monochromes alludes a sense of resoluteness with commanding shades of the earth.
The other collection that stood out at IBFW was ‘Collezione’ by the graduating young designers from Rachana Sansad School of Fashion and Textile Desig (SFTD) who presented their annual collection at the fashion week. The young design wizards showcased a premium resort wear collection ideal for holiday wear for summer 2017 which celebrate dreamy gateways filled with nostalgic memories.
The capsule is designed by 11 top design students – Ashish Sharma, Pooja Tiwari, Kajal Gade, Ankita Nadkarni, Saloni Kabra, Priyanka Hariya, Fatima Kadiwala, Shraddha Gala, Anushruta Iyer, Dhairya Dedhiya and Jigar Zala – in soft pastel shades of aqua, buttercup and ochre to deep earthy tones and vibrant greens. Bollywood heartthrob Amit Sadh walked the ramp in casual oblivion wearing a white double breasted suit with a self-printed blazer from the collection ‘Wanderlust’ created exclusively for men by designer Amrose D’Souza at the India Beach Fashion Week in Goa. The designs including hues of grey, blue and vine which matched up to the theme of the collection ‘Wanderlust’.
Amrose’s unique and refreshing contribution to the world of fashion ‘Wanderlust’ is a stylish Boho-chic inspired collection infused with elements of summer. The clothes are versatile and can be can be worn at both casual and semi-formal events and meetings thanks to the quirky blazer collection which adds a formal feel. The name ‘Wanderlust’ tells us of Amrose’s inspiration for the designs which she drew from her travels and admiration of fashion in Rome, Milan and an array of cities across Europe. The chic look of the clothing plus the comfort factor makes the collection perfect for those who are on the go.
The collection is replete with fun blazers, cotton trousers and shirts all making for an ideal summer business getaway. Commenting on her inspiration for the designs of her collection Amrose said “Instead of creating the real Bohemian look, which is usually a lot of prints and solid colors, Wanderlust has subtle and plain tints put together. The blazers have hand patch work on them which gives them
an exclusive feel. The collection also has a very royal and classy look because of the color combinations chosen- greys with white and black blazers with some sequenced work on the cut edges.”
