KOCHI:
Indian Council of World Affairs, New Delhi in collaboration with the Centre for Public Policy Research, Kochi organised the prize distribution ceremony for the first edition of the ICWA-CPPR Essay Competition in Malayalam for school students (15-18 years) and undergraduate/postgraduate students (18-25 years).
With over 100 young scholars competing at the junior and senior levels, the winners were felicitated at a virtual closing ceremony graced by Dr TCA Raghavan, Director-General, ICWA; Smt Nutan Kapoor Mahawar, Joint Secretary, ICWA and Dr D Dhanuraj, Chairman CPPR. The competition, held as part of the ICWA’s ‘Awareness Programme on Indian Foreign Policy’, attempts to delve into what India’s Foreign Policy means to the youth of the country and inculcate in them a deeper understanding of India’s Foreign Policy and engagements in World Affairs.
The junior-level winners are Dhyan V.B, Don Bosco Higher Secondary, Puthuppally; Irene Mariam Mani, Govt Girls Higher Secondary School, Ernakulam and Adwaid M Prasanth, Janardhanapuram HSS, Thiruvananthapuram. They were awarded Rs 15000, Rs10000 and Rs 5000, respectively. At the senior-level, Bejoy Sebastian, IGNOU; Fatima Mumtaz, Farook College and Rahna Mumtas, Govt College, Malappuram bagged the first, second and third prize, respectively. They were awarded Rs 25000, Rs 15000 and Rs 10000, respectively. Congratulations to the winners!
