    Hibi Eden Hailed by Fishermen

Not so far ago the unsung heroes, fishermen came to the rescue of the people trapped in their houses and remote locations during the dreadful flood. Again and again they have proved to be the most helpful and first to be present in any emergent situation. Today when UDF candidate Hibi Eden visited Kannamaali hundreds of them received him with a grand gesture. The kind of love he received was the same as they extended to Hibi’s father George Eden for the past 8 years.

There are several requests of the fishermen that needs immediate attention like construction of sea wall, break waters (Pulimuttu) etc. The fishermen of the region even gave up a day’s work of theirs to meet the candidate there were looking forward to all this while for a better tomorrow.

Every word of Hibi Eden was received with an applause. In his speech the candidate opened up the intended plans for the fishermen which includes Sea Rights Law, Coastal Package for fishermen, Concessions in Sea Rights Law etc to name a few. Hibi Eden had also presented special package in the Cabinet for the fishermen group during trolling season.
