Hero Electric, India’s largest EV brand, inaugurated its third dealership in Malappuram, Kerala. Kerala being an important market, Hero Electric appointed G & K Motors to drive the business in the state. Customers can access Hero Electric’s entire range at the newly opened showroom in Panthavoor, Edappal, Malappuram. The facility comprises of 2750 sq ft area along with a service area of 650 sq ft. This facility will further strengthen the dealership network in Southern India and bring the brand closer to achieving 1000 touchpoints across the country.
The dealership was inaugurated by V.Abdurahiman, Minister for Sports, Government of Kerala, and Haridas. K. Nair, South Regional Manager, Hero Electric, inaugurated the service center.

Hero Electric is currently present in 25 states as of India and is targeting 1000 sales for touchpoint marks by the end of FY2022. Owing to the rising demand for E2Ws, the Kerala government has introduced incentive programs to boost EV sales. The state offers a 50% discount on road tax for EVs for the first years to promote faster adoption and manufacturing of electric vehicles in the state.
