Helo, India’s leading regional social media platform revealed top travel trends pertaining to the state of Kerala as a part of its on-going campaign, #HeloTravel.
Munnar emerged as the most preferred travel attraction in the region followed Wayanad, Wagamon, Fort Kochi and Bekal fort. The top 5 food content recorded was Pazham Pori, Dosa, Puttu, Sadhya and Karimeen.
#HeloTravel, a one of a kind campaign has received a splendid response since its launch in October 2019. The objective of this campaign was to bring India’s rich socio-cultural heritage and encourage millions of users across 9 regional languages namely Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Gujarati, Punjabi and Bengali to share their travel stories.
People could tag their stories to locally relevant hashtags like #HeloRajasthan, #HeloKarnataka, #HeloMaharashtra, #HeloUttarPradesh,amongst others as part of Helo Travel campaign. Across Kerala, sites enriched with natural beauty such as Munnar, Wayanad and Wagamon from the picturesque state of Kerala are the most preferred travel destinations in the region with around 50% share of the user generated posts.Travel activity and street view, were amongst other identified trends that found a place on the list.
The campaign concludes in January 2020. Up to 1000 participants, with most unique and engaging travel content stand a chance to win exciting prizes like GoPro. Helo will also crown the top 10 participants out of these as #HeloTravel ambassadors, who will be awarded with luxury travel packages by the end of the campaign.
Helo brings everyone together, allowing people to connect with the wider community by creating and sharing content in their own native language.
